Accessibility

Our commitment

We treat accessibility as part of design, development, and maintenance, not as a final check. We progressively improve structure, content, interactions, performance, and compatibility with different ways of accessing the site.

This page describes the known state at the time of the latest update. It is not a statement of full conformance and does not replace an independent audit or legal assessment.

Current status

The website has a responsive foundation and some semantic structure is already in place, but it has not yet undergone a complete audit with keyboard use, assistive technologies, and automated checks integrated into the release process.

Areas still requiring work or further verification include focus management, interactive dialogs and menus, form error messages, non-text content, and movement and audio controls. We therefore describe the status as improving, not fully conformant.

Scope

The review covers the main website, information pages, contact form, newsletter, and the external lightweight version described as the 14 KB site.

Hosting, CDN, anti-spam services, analytics, and other third-party components may introduce behaviour that we do not fully control. We include them in the review when they affect people’s experience.

Areas being improved

• Navigation and focusMake skip links, the mobile menu, dialogs, anchor links, and focus restoration after interactions more predictable.
• FormsKeep instructions and error messages associated with their fields and preserve a usable path when the anti-spam service is unavailable.
• Non-text contentReview alternative text, semantic headings, labels, and graphic content so information does not depend on sight alone.
• Motion and audioCheck animations, audio, and decorative interactions against reduced-motion preferences and keyboard controls.
• Lightweight versionGive the external 14 KB version a separate review for keyboard, screen readers, contrast, zoom, and mobile use.

Goals and references

Our current technical reference is WCAG 2.2 at Level AA, while we monitor subsequent W3C updates and developments. We also consider EN 301 549 and, where applicable to the service and organisation, Italian Legislative Decree 82/2022 and European Directive 2019/882.

We also aim for high and stable PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse scores, together with good Core Web Vitals. These metrics help improve performance and quality, but they do not certify accessibility on their own and do not replace manual or assistive-technology testing.
